HIV CARVE-OUT CMS SIGN-ON LETTER

ADAP Advocacy has drafted a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requesting an HIV carve-out exemption for antiretroviral therapies used for the treatment of HIV/AIDS from the agency’s proposed guidance for the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program ("Negotiation Program") established under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. ADAP Advocacy has requested this carve-out exemption due to the serious nature of the threat facing People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), should HIV medications be selected as part of the Negotiation Program.
